My cat died last night.....when will the pain subside?

My cat, Carlito, a delightful five month old ball of energy died last night. I think he got hit by a car. I saw him outside five minutes prior to hearing him cry out a few times. By the time I had him in his box ready to go to the vet, his breathing was heavily laboured, body limp and he died a minute or so late. I feel excruciating pain, more than when my grandfather died. I don't think I will ever laugh or smile again. Today, the house it quiet, his absence is deafening, my dad is teary eyed, my other cat is going in circles looking for Carlito. I feel like I never want to keep another pet because the pain of losing them is so great.When will this pain go away? Does it ever go away?

I have discalculia (learning disability) and am very slow at math. I'm a university student and taking a remedial algebra course, and I can't grasp the course material. I've tried talking to the professor but she is no help. She just says I need to work harder and study more. okay well i tore my rotator cuff and i also have loose joints (my knee and shoulder pop out all the time those are the worst) so i just started to go to physical therapy to strengthen my muscles to help my shoulder stay in place...well today at therapy she said the muscles that arnt torn are working to hard because of the torn one making my shoulder more uneven and making it pop out more and where i have to push it back in (it doesnt go in by itself) and then its making the tear worse...she said we will try and heal the tear so we can strengthen it and keep it from popping out but she said she thinks i will probably have to have surgery and even if i dont it would still probably be a good idea in the long run to have my shoulder joint tightened because she doesnt think she can do much about that because its so bad....ive already been to therapy a lot this year (due to ATV accident) because i have chronic pain disease and i was in a ATV accident...and we olny have a certain amount of therapy i can have for a year (idk how much but thats what my mom said) so how much longer should i try therapy for (this is my 2nd week for my shoulder) and also is there any type of support i can get that will keep my shoulder from sliding around and popping out? ive never seen one but i have a brace that keeps my knee in place so i was wondering if there was something like that? i see my PT again in 2 days so i will talk to her about all this but i would like help b4 then thank you

I have a puggle that is about 1 and a half years old. He has had this problem for months now. I have tried switching his food. I have used Royal Canin, Innova, and now Taste of the Wild. Why aren't all military aircraft equipped with ejection seats?

C-130, C-17, C-5 and many other do not have ejection seats. With an aircraft with such a payload it wouldnt even noticed they were there. The C-17 crew who stalled and crashed in Alaska not too long ago could have benefited with this by their lives. All other crew sush as the load master could have an ejection seat as well. He could be in it for take off and landings and when not in it he could bail out or revert back to his ejection seat.

High quality dog food?

Depressed over animal testing?

I recently read an article about animal testing within large corporations and I'm feeling quite bad. The reason I read the thing to begin with was because someone got angry with me fro supporting Proctor and Gamble and their animal testing because I use their product (California Naturals Dog Food). SO, I decided last night that I wouldn't use it anymore and I would refuse to support any company that tests on animals. This was proving difficult in the grocery store (even the all natural store) with the PETA approved list I took with me. Furthermore I have a serious medical condition that I have to medicate even though I hate drugs and have protested the use of with several doctors over the past few years. The fact is there isn't always a natural or holistic remedy for certain diseases. GSK and Lilly are makers of two drugs I take and they are both evil monster corporations. Between P&G, Unilever, Colgate/Palmolive, General Mills and Monsanto it's becoming impossible to purchase safe and healthy foods. P&G gobbles up my dog food company last year. Monsanto buys out Whole Foods this year. Whats next? Can you even flip a light switch without hurting someone or something these days? Am I wasting my time trying to boycott with my wallet when the small companies keep being absorbed by multi-nationals? husband injured his back at work, he was out of work for a few weeks and recieved workman's comp. then he was released back to work on light duty. he has been going to physical therapy 3 times a week for 2 months and has recieved 3 (maximum per year!) cortisone shots and is still in so much pain he can hardly move sometimes! it hurts him to sit or stand to long, his restrictions are no standing for long periods, no heavy lifting, squatting, bending, repetitive motion, or walking long distances. he is a custodian at a local high school and his light duty is cleaning all desks and chairs, walking the campus of the school to different cl rooms etc. his sick and vacation days kicked back in july 1st, and when he wanted to use a sick day last week - because he woke up and could hardly move! - they said he couldn't, he had to take a dock day because he was on work restricton!!! this makes NO sense to us! why can't he use his sick day???

Can anesthesia, surgery, pain meds and antibiotis affect my cycle this much?

I was in a bad car wreck on July 13th. I suffered compound fractures of both bones in my right lower leg (tib/fib) and compound fracture of my forearm (rt ulna). I had to have emergency surgery on both and was given antibiotics and pain meds throug iv in the hospital for a week and when I got out I stayed on antibiotics and pain meds every now and then. I had to have a second surgery on the 4th of this month, which meant more anesthesia and more antibiotics and pain meds. It has been six weeks since my last period. Its great that you want to get two rabbits- but they don't necessarily have to be opposite genders. For instance, i have two bonded females. They're not "mates", per se, but they're best friends and can't be separated. it is a little more difficult to bond two of the same gender, especially if one or neither isn't fixed, but its possible. I would go with Davey, because he is holdable, and Petey. I'm not too impressed with the single females. I also think Joey and Maisy are adorable. So if you wanted to go male-male, maybe Davey and Petey, and if you wanted male-female then Joey and Maisy, in my opinion :)

When I was a student a job agency sent me and my friend to fill in at a factory for a week...when we got there it was a MEAT factory! A gift for a deceased family member???????

Every 2 weeks my mother and I go to a small cemetary where her parents are laid to rest. We clean up the area around their headstones and plant new flowers and water the ones already planted. This helps my mother in her time of grief. Every Christmas my mother puts out the small Christmas tree that lights up at night...(my Grandmother loved Christmas). I always find something small to put at their gravesite... maybe because I am always use to them being their at Christmas and I have always given them small trinkets. I have given sea shells that I found at the beach one year and projects my kids worked on at school but this year I am at a loss. I think it is because I am moving on.... even though losing them both in the last few years has hurt me terribly. I am wanting to do something different this year. Maybe donate to the Cancer Society... Maybe pay more tribute to them that way???? This is a very touchy subject and I would like only serious suggestions here. Please be kind and leave an honest suggestion...

Painfully Bad Leg Cramps

I like where you're going with it, but there are some wordy places that you should rework to be a little more concise (lines 1, 6, 7). I don't get "less worry" in line 8. I have been seeing this guy for around a year and a half, he is a bit of a rugby boy, he used to go out loads and party and even admitted he was a bit of a player in the past, but I still don’t trusy him he has lied to me about a few things he went to a party with his mates and said he was staying over one of his mates houses but turns out they all stayed at this girls house, he said there was only girl there but I don’t believe him as I saw photos of them out and there were other girls there but he still denies it saying they were just randoms. Is columbian coffee different than arabica coffee beans?

Basically there are only 2 types of coffee beans available on the commercial market - aribica and robusta. Either can be grown in Columbia, Hawaii, Mexico, or any other place that is hospitible to the coffee plant. The difference is in the soil (nutrients), water (minerals) and temperature range. The aribica bean is considered the better of the 2 beans by most coffee drinkers. However, a robusta coffee bean grown under ideal conditions will make a better coffee than an aribica bean grown under poor conditions. The coffee growing region of Columbia presents a very favorable invironment to either coffee plant. Most of the coffee grown in Columbia is the aribica variety. Because the robusta plant is hardier and easier to grow, many if not most of the less expensive coffee on the market is either all robusta or a blend of robusta and aribica. In general, if the coffee package/can does not say 100% aribica it is either a blend of aribica and robusta or it is robusta only. Just because the coffee is advertised as 100% aribica, there is no guarantee it will be a good coffee. Then there are the variations that occur within a plantation due to soil variance and micro-climates and the rain year. This is much the same as vintage years for gs. Coffee makers send people who are skilled at grading coffee beans to the grower' markets worldwide. Flea problem in yard but no pets?

In the last week or so we have been noticing large numbers of fleas when we go a particular part of the yard. I have lived in this house for 3 years and have NO pets. I was horrified to find the fleas on my feet and legs. Today I have sprinkled lots of Borax around the area. The only ones in the house are what we walked in and couldn't catch. I need help building a pendulum or another kind of time-keeping device?

Alright so for a school project, I need to build a time-keeping device acurate to .1 of a second. I was just planning on building a pendulum and using my eyes to count/guesstimate the time elapsed based on the number of swings. Does anyone have any better ideas? If not, can someone guide me through the process of building a pendulum? I was just planning on getting some scrap wood and building a hangman style contraption to which I would attach some string with a weight at the bottom of it and using trial and error to get it to swing and have the duration of the swing last a second by using a stopwatch to time it...any better suggestions?
